What a Saturday session looks like

A Saturday session is the whole family in our woodland at once, and every family member can get involved. Like everything at Dreckly, it is child-led: den building, whittling and green woodwork, fire lighting and campfire cooking, nature crafts, bug hunting, woodland games and seasonal activities — the children follow what catches them, and you come along.

£30 covers your first child and £15 each sibling, with adults free. All activities and materials are included, so the only things to bring are your own: snacks, named drinks bottles and clothes for the weather.

Dates go up on Bookwhen as “Dreckly Woods Family Session”, each with its start time — book your places there.

What to wear, and what to bring

Please come dressed for outdoor activities in all weather conditions — that goes for the grown-ups too.

  • Sturdy footwear or wellington boots
  • Long trousers and long sleeves
  • Waterproof coat and trousers
  • Suncream applied before the session, and a sun hat
  • Snacks and named drinks bottles
